Top 3 Holiday Outfits

So, if you follow me on instagram you'll know I recently visited Cuba. I had the most incredible time and Cuba is such a beautiful place! As I haven't wrote a blog post in a while I thought I'd list a few of my favourite holiday outfits and a review of each.

1. The 'Under Wraps Plunge Draped Thigh Split' dress from Oh Polly

This was by far my favourite holiday outfit. The material is slinky so is flattering to your body shape whilst still being quite thin so perfect for holiday nights (especially in 30 degrees heat). I chose a size 8 in this dress and it fit perfectly. The style of the dress is so stunning and I received compliments all night on it. I teamed the dress with some lace up wedges from public desire and opted for a slicked back hairstyle.

2. The 'Drama Dress' from Lemon Lunar

My second favourite holiday outfit was the 'drama dress' from Lemon Lunar. I've purchased a few dresses from this online boutique and have always loved all their products. This particular dress fit lovely and compliments a tan so well. I loved the draped design at either side and how it was backless yet the length of the dress gave it some class. I again chose an 8 in this dress and it fit near enough perfect. I teamed this dress with flat tie around sandals from public desire and wore my hair up as I wanted to show off the open back
design.

3. The Orange Scrunch Bum Dress from Pretty Little Thing

My third and final fave dress is this orange scrunch bum dress from Pretty Little Thing. The design of the back is so flattering and the front is a cowl neck design. The colour is perfect for holiday and the lovely slinky material is so comfortable. I again purchased a size 8 in this dress and the fit is true to size. I paired with wedges and wore my hair down.

Hair - Go Short Or Go Home

I have to apologise as I haven't wrote a blog post in a while due to having a mountain of assignments and exams to complete at university! However now there all done and dusted I thought I'd write a quick post for you all about my hair journey.

My own hair journey has been a long one. Anyone that knows me will know I've been every hair colour under the sun - brown, dark blonde, light blonde, copper, red, black and now back to my own colour of darkest brown. So it's fair to say my hairs been through a lot! Up until recently I nearly always wore hair extensions despite having long hair myself I was obsessed with having extra thick, long hair. Basically I wasn't satisfied with my hair unless it was nearly touching my bum!

However, a couple of months ago when my hairdresser was colouring my hair she noticed some quite big bald patches at the bottom of my head and suggested that I go to the doctors to check if I had alopecia. At the time I was revising for the many exams I had at university and hadn't realised how much stress I was under. I went ahead and booked an appointment at the doctors and she told me I had alopecia from stress and that the combination of stress and wearing hair extensions was damaging my hair. I was mortified and so scared in case the bald patches didn't grow back.

Slowly but surely though my hair has grown back and I decided to have quite a lot of my hair chopped to get it into good condition. I've carried on getting regular cuts every 3/4 weeks and lathering hair treatments on my hair on a regular basis too. Coconut oil is also the best thing I've ever used on my hair and I can't recommend it enough.

Nothing has ever put me off hair extensions so much! I've noticed that my own hair has become so much thicker since having it cut shorter and I couldn't even imagine going longer than 5 weeks not getting my hair cut now! Luckily short hair is very on trend at the moment which works in my favour. I went for a blunt cut as I loved Khloe Kardashians recent blunt bob. I haven't yet braved a cut as short as hers but I will definitely be going even shorter some time soon!

Silk Wraps Review

I recently discovered a new favourite type of dress that I had to share with everybody! This type being silk wrap dresses! This particular style is perfect for a special occasion, if you want to get dressed up. I wore my champagne silk dress to a friends 21st recently and the burgundy silk dress for an 18th birthday. The champagne dress looked great on and was a lovely material with plenty of elastic in, however I did find the fitting around the bust area a little too small for me. Apart from this though it fitted very well. The champagne dress was a little longer in length than the burgundy dress which I liked too, as I was wearing it to go for a meal and drinks. I styled the dress with, nude suede heels, my moschino pink bag and a leather jacket. I also wore my lullabellz hair extensions with this look, keeping my own hair in soft curls too.

The burgundy dress was shorter in length and I found that although it was also a size 8, it fit like a glove, perfect everywhere. As this dress was shorter I styled it with shorter court heels and again my pink moschino bag. I decided to ditch my extensions for this look and went for tight pencil curls instead.

The Little Red Dress

So recently I've purchased a couple of little red dresses, one of which I wore just last weekend for cocktails. I had to write a blog about it as I absolutely fell in love with this particular dress. The dress I wore is from an online boutique called Oh Polly, I bought a few things from there recently and loved the quality of them! Likewise, this little red dress failed to disappoint. The material was a gorgeous thick bandage style so therefore fit really well. I purchased a size extra small and it fit perfectly as the dress also had some stretch in it.

I teamed my dress with nude patent leather and suede court heels and a nude clutch. I try to keep my accessories neutral when I'm wearing such a bright colour like this. I kept jewelery to a minimal too as I thought the dress was a statement enough itself.

Dungarees - My New Go To

I thought I'd do a blog post about Dungarees as lately I've been living in them and I am absolutely loving them! They're my new go to, they go with so many things and they can be dressed up or down - perfect for day and night. I recently styled my dungarees casually, by teaming them with a white long sleeved crop Tee which I purchased from Pretty Little Thing. I also wore my gold and white Adidas superstars as they went well with the Tee and they're the comfiest shoes I own which is a plus. I kept my jewellery minimal with just my silver Olivia Burton watch.

Later, in the week I decided to dress my dungarees up for a date night with the girls. I wore a bralet I got from River Island a couple of months ago and black strappy heels and my black Moschino quilted bag. I also wore gold hoops and my gold Michael Kors watch and bracelet to add a bit more glam to my outfit.

The Dungarees are from an online website I've only just started using - Miss Pap. They have quite a bit of stretch in the fabric but are still tight fitting so are quite figure flattering. I'll definitely be purchasing them in different colours very soon!
